100 groundhog days

I’d like to share with you rather curious results from one of my psychological experiments with other people.
Last 3 years I’ve asked more than 100 people around me just one pretty easy question:

What would you do if you were a hero of that movie “Groundhog day” (1993) but you know, that it will be finished after 100 such days?

The core point of this movie is that each day starts from the same point from the beginning — an absolute reset. So, you will only remember events and actions of this day, nothing else. There are no limits at all! You can even die — tomorrow you will wake up at your home.

How do you plan to spend these first 2–3 days of 100?
The most important thing is your initial thoughts, that’s a message from your subconsciousness .

And I received extremely different curious answers.
Here they are:

  1. Variety of extreme sports.
Thrilling risking life adventures…Parachute, rope–jumping, cave diving, parkour, surfing in a storm, paragliding, street luge and etc.
  2. Luxury lifestyle.
Spending all the money from a credit card or bank robbery for enjoying a lavish lifestyle. The most expensive restaurants, cars, bars, hotels, entertainments…
  3. Traveling.
Just going to the airport in the morning and take a next flight to any new place in the world to visit for a day. Wherever you go, the next morning you will automatically come back.
  4. Drugs.
Trying all allowed drugs and psychedelics for getting new high and senses. Exploring new sides of psycho and human body. Exploring even death senses.
  5. Sex.
To make love with as much different partners as possible for a day. To seduce and flirt with lots of strangers. Make their wildest fantasies come true.
  6. Showdown with people.
Specially with ex–girlfriend or ex–boyfriend, partners, enemies.
Revenge or just speak out. Trying to know the truth about some relationships and about other people without any fear to spoil it.
  7. Family time.
Hanging out with family members. Going with kids to the park instead of going to work. Just having fun with relatives.
  8. Lottery results and forecast on the stock exchange.
Even at the beginning of this 100 groundhog days people think about finance stability in the future and to gain from that situation.
  9. Acquiring new skills.
Getting as much classes, expensive online–courses, coach–sessions as they can. Soft skills or hard–skills development, learning how to play guitar, speak some new languages or build the rocket, etc.
  10. Unlimited food.
All they can eat without any aftermath. The most delicious and even high–calorie food in the world.
  11. Criminal actions.
Steeling motorcycles or cars, breaking the rules, the great scam, the storming of the prison, robbery...
  12. Meditations.
Active or passive spiritual activities. Going deeper in the details from daily routine, noticing the collateral beauty of the moment.
  13. Help to other people.
Help and charity for getting these high emotions from sharing and helping. Enjoying the happiness of other people in the moment.
  14. Doing the same things as in regular life.
The same job, the same lifestyle, the same people around.
  15. Psychological experiments.
A game, social tourism like we do it in Anybe. A day from a someone’s else life, being a shadow of a professional in different areas.

So, would YOU choose?
That tells me more about your subconscious values, true interests and suppressed fears than any other direct questions…

That’s worth thinking about.
